You know you're "a la campagne" when you have to wait for a bunch (herd?) of cows to cross the road! Ruby completely loved it.

She did, of course, bring her big city girl attitude with her. Tia Jaya gave her an old white fake fur handbag. Ruby decided that the small white soft toy dog that she also got from Jaya would go in said handbag. And since then Ruby, handbag and dog, Valia, have been inseparable. Jaya's attempts to show Ruby how to "properly" hold a handbag have been in vain though.

The handbag is no longer it's original fluffy shade of white however; but we've been reassured that it washes quite nicely in the washing machine.
