Ruby has made yet another transatlantic flight and is now spending a week in Amsterdam, with mama Marsha as local guide. Tired mom and even more tired babe (even though babe slept in plane, and mom didn't) arrived early Tuesday morning and were greeted by one of my old college-day friends, Marcella.

We spent the day trying to stay awake, with Ruby battling a high fever at the same time. But we had fun with Marcella, Tom, four-year old Nils and Ruby's new buddy (only three weeks or apart in age), Jente.
