Last weekend Ruby finally got to spend some time with some other kids. It was obvious that she had missed the presence of other little people.

On Friday we visited with Martine who co-parents Louan, age eight, and Coline, same age more or less as Ruby, with Pierre (featured briefly in the video; I grew up with Pierre). The following day we met Pierre and kids at a small carnival that Louan's school had organized (video) and on the third day Pierre and kids came and spent practically the whole day beside the pool here, to Ruby's immense delight. In no time she was asking for Coline and the two got on pretty well together--some small hitting incidents notwithstanding--with big brother Louan keeping an eye out for them both.
