On my last day in Amsterdam I met up with my cousin Issa (who had visited us back in March). While it was Issa's birthday, he didn't feel super festive, because he and his brother Marco, are in the throes of opening their very own cafe--with self-made bread and pastries, which baker Issa will be in charge of! After viewing the soon to be opened cafe we did have time for a breakfast, during which Issa told me he will be doing a lot of test baking by the time we stop back in Amsterdam for one night end of June--so we can't wait to do some taste-testing!
