So, here starts the Ruby-Marsha June European tour journal. At John F. Kennedy Airport. A six-hour flight alone with the babe. I was nervous it would be traumatic for myself, Ruby and everyone else. In fact, this shot was probably one of the few times she actually sat down a few moments--before we even got on the plane!
It really wasn't that bad though. She was awake for about three hours only--time spent jumping up and down in her seat (thankfully the plane wasn't full so she had her own seat), falling out of her seat on her head (just a bad bump, poor babe), walking up and down the aisles for about one hour asking for "outside" and eating my whole dinner.
We did arrive an hour early at Schiphol. There we first greeted by lots of orange flags so we could get into the spirit of the European Soccer Championship and shortly thereafter by Marcella, who got us home to her house in "de Baarsjes" (west-Amsterdam) in no time, where we both collapsed happily into bed for a few hours.
