Ruby had a fun small birthday party this week. Colleen, pictured here, wanted to invite some of Ruby's friends over, together with the many wonderful caregivers that she hangs out with. So we had about six kids over, including her everlasting buddy and sidekick, Sam (who was sick and couldn't stay long sadly enough).

There was plenty of food, balloons galore, and other toys for the kids to play with. And, of course, a sponge cake that David had baked the day before and decorated with icing and rainbow colors.

Surprisingly all the toddlers were well behaved, so my fears of them wrecking the place and maiming each other in the process were unfounded. (Sorry, just this pic, as David was tied up at work and I had my hands full.)
