After saying goodbye to Mary and John and Jen (come home soon Jen!), we trekked (slowly) down to Massachusetts to see David's family. The normal hustle and bustle of Pat, Lissa and Blake and Ellaina kept Ruby entirely content and preoccupied.
One thing that amazed us is some of her select memories of past visits. When we went up to Lissa's house, Ruby immediately started talking about the fish she had helped feed on our last visit there. So imagine her delight when Ellaina came home with some extra goldfish that she had won at a local fair!
On the top photo you can see, by the way, the remnants of Ruby's black eye. A solid week before Ruby had knocked her eye on the corner of table in our living room. While only a small bump appeared, her eye progressively became black over the ensuing days. It has, of course, received quite a few comments.
