On Sunday we spent the day at your typical American fair. There was a petting zoo with all kinds of farm animals, various competitions involving oxen and huge horses pulling concrete blocks and more animal-showcasing stuff that we didn't stick around to see.
There was a fair where Ruby got to go on a few rides, including a real-live pony ride, which she thought was the most normal thing in the world and didn't really hold her attention.
And there was a lot of fair food. Ruby had more mac'n'cheese, her staple diet these days. Unfortunately the steady diet of carbs and cheese didn't help slow down those poopy diapers, which ended up just being a constant source of distraction throughout the entire trip.
Even though we were just there for a few hours, Ruby immediately fell asleep as soon as we got back in the car to head back to Mary and John's barn/RV. At 6:30pm she was fast asleep, probably a record for the earliest bedtime for her ever.

She's sitting on that pony as if she was born on it : totally natural pose! Almost as if she casually turning around saying "hey you guys what's holding y'all up - let's get moving "!
Love, M.
