Ruby is two months old today! Notice the difference with the picture taken a few days after her birth? And no--the body suit did not shrink in the wash!
I've been handing Ruby a rattle in the last few days and her hand reflexes (her hands are mostly still fists) allow her to clamp down on it. Today she held on to the rattle for a record time though. Cute even if by accident mostly.
Yesterday I visited with little Adelaide and her mom Galea. Galea and her partner Garrett were in our child birth education class and they happen to live about 10mins away by foot. Adelaide was born on September 29, just nine days after Ruby. Pictures of the two beauties and their first encounter will soon be posted. Galea and I could bond over our newly-found motherhood and the fact that we're both from down-under (she's from Australia).

Wat een verschil zeg in twee maanden tijd! Maar zelfs die ene maand die Ruby met Jente scheelt, is al een groot verschil nu. Zoals Ruby al lekker kan lachen en zelfs een rammelaar vasthoudt! Echt leuk! Dat heb ik nog allemaal voor de boeg:)
