As promised, here is a picture of Adelaide and Ruby. Adelaide is just nine days younger than Ruby. Hopefully they'll get to hang out more often together and practice synchronizing their leg kicks some more!
On Wednesday I took Ruby in for her two-month check-up. Her weight gain has slowed down, so that she is in the lower percentile when it comes to weight. However, she still eats a lot and is cleary putting some of that energy into her height gain, which is above average. Sorry for the poor quality of the pohotocopy, but you get the picture.
Today we're all a little tired, because Ruby had a tough night. She kept on waking up with gas and with raspy breathing. What a combo. This morning the snot is slowly making its appearance, so it seems like she simply has a cold. As a new parent I'm now having to come to terms with my kid being sick and hoping I'm doing all I need to be doing to take care of her; yet something else to get used to!
Meanwhile Ruby is dozing peacefully in her motorized swinging chair (I'd get seasick, but she clearly approves)--thanks Carl & Nina for bringing that by yesterday; it's rare that she falls asleep while *not* attached to me.
