Ruby and I have been away from the computer quite a bit this week; hence the lack of recent postings. Besides taking Ruby to the doc on Wednesday because her cold was getting worse (she's still all stuffed up, but we are now expert at squirting saline solution up her nose and then suctioning out all the muck), and hanging out with Megan and EJ (fourth from bottom), we took a long drive up to see David's family on Thursday for the Thanksgiving holiday.
Thursday night we chilled with David's sister Lissa (last picture) and David's mom Pat (fourth from top) and had a delicious meal. Proud dad (note Ruby's shirt which says "J'aime mon papa") cut up the huge butternut squash.
On Friday morning Pat made a huge pile of pancakes and the rest of the family came over. Cousin Ellaina (top) and great-aunt Mary (second from top), cousin Trish's kids Nathan and Nolan (third from top) and Trish's one-year old daughter McKenna (second from bottom) all got to meet and hang out with Ruby.
Big news for next week: I'm going back to work on Wednesday. Tia Jaya is arriving on Tuesday and will be staying with us until January 1st to help take care of Ruby!

Hoi Marsha,
Heel veel succes vandaag op je eerste werkdag! Het zal wel wennen zijn, maar Ruby is in goede handen!
Ik ben benieuwd naar je ervaringen.
Groetjes, Marcella
