Often after her bath we'll let Ruby romp around butt-naked for a little while. And often, before bed, we watch the baby signing dvd together. Lately Ruby can't sit still and she needs to pull herself up on everything. This is the result!
She does understand a few signs (eat, dog, cat, bird, fish) and sometimes will sign bird (flapping hands), although she also flaps her hands when she's excited!
Haven't been posting much lately because we've been so busy, either having fun out and about or doing all kinds of chores. Last night David was tearing down part of our ceiling because the paint was coming down and the original paint layers have lead in them. I have been scrambling to get Ruby a passport so we can go to Montreal in a month.
We can't sit still with Ruby around much either these days; she pulls herself up on everything, will now go from lying down to sitting like it's the easiest thing in the world and scoots around on her butt, pulling power cords and the like. So this weekend we have to babyproof the place a little better (mostly so she doesn't get frustrated because we keep on telling her what she isn't allowed to touch) and we also need to change our sleeping arrangement (likely this means that the mattresses are going on the floor). But Ruby keeps us amused with babble and her new feats while we go about our daily grind!

Instead of getting rid of the bed base and putting the mattresses on the floor, it seems to me that it'll be easier to cut down the legs of the bed, so it'll be closer to the floor. So when Missy rolls out, at least she doesn't have a dizzying height drop... Worked like a dream with us!
Hug & kiss, m.
