On Wednesday evenings the cafe at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden stays open after closing hours for members. Despite some bad weather predictions, we went with our friend Jen and had a nice dinner.

But boy were those weather reports right-on for once! Of course, Ruby found the sudden massive downpour quite interesting and Jen and David, being avid gardeners and groundkeepers, were happy for the plants. And bonus for us parents--even though we got soaking wet walking home, Ruby couldn't toss her toys out of the stroller because of the rain cover.

Here you can see Ruby's pointing skills. She points at everything, with her cute tiny finger all crooked. She even points to pictures in the story books I read her at night--often pointing to pictures I've pointed to for weeks now. And this morning I caught her pointing away at totally random images in a book she was browsing on her own while I was munching on my breakfast.
