WOW. It's just amazing what a few days off AT HOME can do for our sanity and stress levels. We thoroughly enjoyed the last four days off. Sadly our date night got cancelled because Ruby was extremely congested and restless and we were afraid she would wake up a bunch while we were out.
Besides enjoying the lack of scheduling (no early morning dash out of the house and end of day dash to get us fed and babe to bed), we did a lot of chores around the house. In less than a month mamie, papie, tia Jaya and our dearest friend Jean-Claude will be in town to visit and that means seven people in one apartment! We're excited to see them all and if Ruby could count down the days, she would be. But we also needed to get the place ship-shape. Like going through eight bags of hand-me down clothes that had been dumped in the office, where JC will be sleeping.
Today we also went out to get a tree. We've never had a tree this early but Ruby insisted. David and her spotted the regular Quebecois crew on the hood and so it was time. As a result we had to displace Ruby's computer to the bedroom, but that seems to have worked out just fine. Tree happy, Ruby thrilled and well, mamie, Ruby knows she'll be able to expect stuff in her stocking as soon as you get here!

Hi Marsha,
Liefs, Paula.
Wow, pretty tree. Will it still be there when we arrive ? And did I spot 2 extra stockings for D & M ? Does that mean that they expect presents too ? Probably YES according to Ruby !
Hug, M.
