Today was an in between travel day for myself. I returned from a three-day trip to Detroit yesterday and tomorrow Ruby and I are off to Gloucester, Massachusetts (via a stopover with David's mom, otherwise known as "Amma"). David will join us there on Sunday and we won't be back until Tuesday.
So, laundry was on the to do list. While Ruby is an experienced laundromat frequenter, that doesn't mean that finding a friend to play with isn't a huge bonus, for babe and mom alike. Thankfully Franklin was willing to toss around a ball with Ruby and I was able to fold the laundry quickly.
One interesting change I've noticed in Ruby, by the way, is that she has lost any shyness she had towards older kids. She's still generally somewhat aloof of kids her age (they take her toys kind of wariness), but with older kids she is immediately inclined to chat them up and find some way or another to get them to play with her. It's really fun to watch.
