On July 4th we decided on a water fun packed day. Despite a dark wet sky we biked across the Brooklyn Bridge (this was the longest bike ride ever for Ruby and she loved it) and spent the afternoon at Battery City Park. They have a funky play ground and hidden away behind a bunch of buildings they have a not too well known waterfall with more water games for kids. Ruby even enjoyed the long bike ride back home and helped me yell at clueless pedestrian tourists who would suddenly venture on to the bike path without checking for bikes first on the Brooklyn Bridge.
