Ruby has some toddler wounds to show off these days. Here I came across her--with phone in hand, hence the poor quality picture--sitting in her toddler play stroller (which I swear should have collapsed under her weight, giving her probably another wound...) viewing, with admiration, her "bobo" on her knee.

Whenever she hits her head, which must happen at least a few times a day, she starts shouting "no no no." It's kind of cute, but I always do muster up a sympathetic face.

And sometimes the falls are real serious. On Tuesday she took a fall on her face, while walking down a slight slope. She now has skid marks from her nose to her eyebrow. Our challenge in the last few days has been to get her to stop picking at those bobos.

Yup, the highlight of "bobobs" is picking at crusts. I used to paint (if the spot was appropriate) some petals around it, in ballpoint pen, telling you kids not to pick at the (resulting) flower. It worked most times though you have to change the design occasionally : clown (crust is his nose), fish (crust is eye) and so on. Give it a try, you never know.
Will also have to teach you how to do a peacock call : they then stop lazing around and will spread their tail for you !
Have started counting the days...
Hug and kiss, M.
