Ruby is so close to walking. We spent three hours at the playground yesterday afternoon (it was in the 70sF/20sC and so the sprinklers were on and kids were half naked getting wet, Ruby included) and almost all she wanted to do was walk around with her stroller, climb up and down stairs and gleefully whiz down slides all on her very own. Welcome to busy busy toddlerhood. Almost. As you can see, she's still a tad unstable. But she's taking a few steps on her own, here and there (I watched her walk a few steps to the couch at home this morning so she could pounce unannounced on the cats). So close.

bravo ma cocotte! that was fantastic. and i especially loved how she asserted herself when this other kid walked off with HER stroller. pretty good to figure out that crawling after him didn't go fast enough so she called on her mum to help out. smart kid!!!
