So the same day I read that my friend Marcella's daughter, Jente, can crawl backwards, Ruby decided to give it a shot also (that was yesterday). Her very first attempts at self-mobility. Like Jente she prefered to glide under furniture. The exertion did tire her out so a little rest halfway through the room was called for (alas, she didn't fall asleep!). And then, when she was done with being on her belly, she called me for me to come to the rescue.

Salut Cocotte, this is just not on : you can't crawl backwards since you're not following the Niemeijer routine in this case! Just try crawling in circles : far more interesting!
