Ruby is much more aware of her surroundings. Whenever I leave her somewhere for a moment she'll follow me with her eyes, even if her small size presents some challenges sometimes.
She is also starting to pay attention to the smallest little things around her. Her capacity to grab small objects isn't quite there yet though. This piece of cereal really had her stumped. She would manage to rake it up between her thumb and forefinger, but wasn't able to then transfer it to her mouth. The more she tried, the stickier it got and the harder it became. I totally delighted in watching her play with the cereal.
Eventually, with help from me, she got to actually chew on the cereal too. She loves it. It's really fun as she grows to have more and more things, like giving her finger foods, that we can do with her.
PS. We're off to Josh and Andrea's wedding in Elmira, upsate New York, tomorrow. Won't be back until late Monday evening.
