Last weekend we went to the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, where they had a huge festival to celebrate the blooming cherry trees. Our friend Varda from downstairs came along, as well as Amelia (our landlord's daughter), her partner Brendan, and their six-week old son, Alexander. Ruby dozed through part of the walk, but was so happy when we plonked her down for her first chance to pull up grass by the fistfuls.

This weekend we're in Detroit, Michigan, where I'm attending a labor conference. Ruby will be taken care of by some labor comrades on Saturday and on Sunday she'll hang out with David and his friend Susan. Hopefully there will be some grass there for her to tear up.

Finally, Ruby's famous! She is now a regular visitor on Megan's blog too.
