Ruby told us she wants to go scuba diving when she grows up, so Rob and I-Shien's little black body suit is just the right thing! Kudos to tia Jaya for suggesting the pink socks.

Jen, Rachel and Mel came to visit on Sunday (and brought Indian food with them for dinner) and after Ruby entertained us all for a little while she then slept beautifully in her hammock for the rest of the evening.

She was gearing up for her very first Labor Notes staff retreat, which took place at our house all-day Monday. The agenda item on our newly updated website seemed to get most of her attention, which is no suprise as she already has some web experience with this blog!

Unfortunately it was all a bit much for me and I was fatigued beyond belief with flu-like symptoms on Tuesday. Still getting used to this fulltime working mom thing. Ruby does seem to notice that I'm gone a lot, because she is claiming more of my time at night by only sleeping in 3-4 hour stretches lately. Her huge smiles for me in the morning make it all worth it though.
