Ruby has been learning some new stuff in the last few days. She discovered her own hands/fists and today she really got into chewing on them as often as she could. It keeps her quite busy and contented.

When we were visiting with our friend Ana she also talked up a storm. She's been oohing and aahing for a while now, but just from time to time and it was really an occasional treat. Today it was almost non-stop. She's a talker.

Jaya witnessed her rolling over from her back onto her stomach earlier this week. Apparently she got stuck on her side on her second try. Neither David or I have seen this yet, but we can't wait.

All these changes could explain why her sleeping at night is still so so. Last night she woke us up three times, so I felt like I was right back there in newly born haze. Maybe her brand-new pacifier will help--we found one that she accepts. Although we're only going to use it to help her sleep, we did a test run this afternoon with it and she was happily sucking away like baby Maggie from the Simpsons.

PS. Ana gave us some awesome stuff for Ruby. I will post some pictures of the "topsy turvy" doll that Ruby got soon. I had one of these dolls when I was a kid, so it was such a treat to get one from Ana.
