David surprised Ruby with a gingerbaby cake that he had decorated especially for her 3 month birthday last week. She didn't get to taste any, but she loved the candles and Jaya, David and I did the honors by eating every single itsy bitsy crumb while she watched on. These days Ruby watches us eat while perched on the table in one of her rocking chairs.

We just got back from a few days with David's family. Ruby spent some quality time with her grandmother; she even tasted one of the purple flowers we had brought with us from Brooklyn especially for grandma Pat.
