Yeah, so I went to a party all.by.myself. My friend Manuel (top middle) got married to his amazing partner, Claudio (aka Super-Claudio) and this was their celebration party. It was a bit of a drive (back and forth to Montreal in 48 hours), but so worth it, as you can see for yourself.
Today Manuel sent the picture of Super-Claudio (I had asked because Ruby has the same shirt and thought she would like this). Ruby's reaction was to ask if Super-Claudio and Super-Ruby could go to the Brooklyn Botanic Garden so that Super-Claudio could save Super-Ruby when Manuel puts her in a tree upside down again. She said all this while giggling wildly and she did first need to verify with me whether Super-Claudio was nice or mean.

In the meantime I've also turned 38 (I'm not worried).
Because I was gone during the weekend following my birthday, we celebrated last weekend. David and Ruby made cake (picture to follow--lets just say that it was quite a sight) and then I opened my present: an espresso machine. Awesome, and delicious. I so really look forward to getting up these days.
And I did have about six different bouquets in the house too--one for mothers day, two for my birthday (one from David and one from Grandma Pat), and a few other bouquets thrown in by Ruby for good measure. The many aromas in the house have been delightful!
