Ruby is really into spring. She begs us to pick any and every flower she sees. We're walking a fine line between preserving the flowers for everyone to enjoy (let alone being caught picking someone elses flowers) and, of course, wanting to bring some of the flowery joy into our home.
And then there's the ritual at home--finding the right vase (we're running low on options as you can see), filling it with water (but not too much water that it overflows when you put the flowers in; a valuable lesson in physics right there) and then displaying them.
I'm loving it, especially because she often uses me as an excuse to go out with her Dada and insist that they buy flowers. I'm thrilled she gets it: you can never give someone too many flowers! Bring on the happiness kiddo.
