A few weekends ago Ruby, Marie and myself trekked out to City Hall in Manhattan to support a protest by the Domestic Workers United. They have been fighting for years for a bill of rights for domestic workers (aka nannies, who are mostly undocumented, and who mostly watch white kids). For this demonstration they asked their members to bring their own kids whose own family lives suffer while their moms (mostly) watch other people's kids.
