Another unrelated silly video.

I suppose a happy new year is in order today too no?! It's just that in the spirit of my attempts at being more in the moment, both in my mind and in my body, I'm kind of feeling bummed. Thank that on the Israeli state, who for the past four days has reminded us how abusive and cruel it can be. I read today: 4 Israelis dead compared to over 350 Palestinians. Come on, really, who are the terrorists here? And here I am, living in the country that supplies plentiful money and arms to Israel.

So, as a way to honor those who struggle, I am going to remember tonight Rachel Corrie, the young American who, five years ago this March, was crushed to death by an Israeli bulldozer while she was trying to protect yet another Palestinian home from destruction. May such acts of solidarity fill us with hope for the next year and may we continue to challenge ourselves and others to fight for a world where we honor life. Peace.
