Ruby's new high chair is a huge success. We weren't really focused on high chairs until a few weeks ago when we were brunching in our favorite restaurant, le Gamin, and we realized that with some extra stuffing behind her back Ruby was just fine in a high chair. But we wanted something small and transportable for our restaurant outings. So I popped into a tres chique kids store, Corduroy Kid, just a few buildings down from us on Vanderbilt Ave, and asked if they could order me this "me too portable high chair", which I'd seen while out and about. Turns out the store owner had one which her kids were too big for and she was happy to pass it on. So my mom watched the store for a few minutes (and sold something!) while she rushed home to pick it up for us. And voila--adieu trying to eat with a squirmy baby on your lap who is trying to grab all your food!

The other pic is just a treat. Ruby's sporting a onesie that our friends Steve and Susan gave us from the Public Theater. Her expression (and the shirt) says it all. And what about those cheeks huh?!
