Last weekend Ruby and I spent a good chunk of Sunday at the Left Forum conference. She is utterly and completely used to "meetings" now, as she correctly calls them.

During one workshop she slept for a bunch, then snacked in silence and played eye tag with a friend of ours. Except for some outrageously loud giggling, no one even noticed she was there. During another workshop she played in the hallway (here she is drawing) while I stood in the door opening of a workshop.

Granted, I don't count on hearing all two hours uninterrupted or even assume we'll stay to the bitter end, but even when there isn't childcare (grumble Left Forum conference organizers), she's a veteran meeting go-er!
