Ruby loves walking more and more. She'll get into the stroller, backpack or ergo willingly, but is oh so happy if she can walk instead.

Last weekend we all walked back from the food co-op together (a 20-minute walk) and she really enjoyed herself. It was a good thing we didn't have any agenda that morning though, besides getting some frozen groceries stored away, because a 20-minute walk does take a fair amount longer with a toddler. Here she checked out some huge construction tunnels sitting on the sidewalk. David was yelling "Ruuuuuuby" from one side and Ruby was yelling "Ruuuuuuby" back.

We only managed to get her past that distraction by ripping some "Caution" yellow tape off the tunnels and letting her drag it behind her for the next few minutes...until the next distraction that is.
