Here are some of the men in Ruby's life--our friend Manuel (aka Manou) visiting from Montreal, our neighbor Bob who witnessed Ruby's birth and of course poppa David.

David is her expert carrier--using the baby bundler (top pic), which allows Ruby to chew his hand, the sling (which she now holds on to, even in her sleep) and most special carrier of all, his arms. We have developed a special nightime ritual for Ruby lately: I'll get in bed and read while Ruby walks around with David and slowly unwinds from the day. David will talk with her softly, and slowly but surely Ruby starts yawning and is usually (not always) then ready for her big long sleep (well 4-5 hour long sleep...).
