Today we went hiking for a few hours in Harriman State Park with Megan and EJ. The weather was gorgeous, although the trail was still completely covered in snow, and so we didn't stay out as long as we would have wanted as the little ones among us had very wet butts.

Ruby and EJ's friendship is really blossoming these days. They absolutely love each other and enjoy their games, jokes, hugs and kisses immensely. Their age difference seems to have mostly dissipated and the conflicts are infrequent and mostly easily resolved. And what makes it easier is that they clearly trust and respect each other, so the momentary bad feelings don't appear to be very deep and the sorrys come easy and seem meaningful. It's wonderful seeing the patience this three and four year-old have for each other, most of the time...!
